Terms and Conditions
at Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd
The School is open between the hours of 9.30am and 8.20pm Monday to Friday, except public holidays (Christmas Holidays, Easter Holidays and Bank Holidays). The students will be notified of planned holiday closure two weeks in advance and they will not be charged for the days in which the School will be closed. These days will be automatically added to the end date of the students’ course. Access to the classrooms is only permitted to the students and the personnel of Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd.
To become a student of Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd you must:
- Complete an application form in full in person or on our website
- Pay all applicable tuition fees prior to the beginning of your course
The course fees are valid only for the person, course and dates specified on the application form.
Once enrolled, students are bound by the terms and conditions of Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd.
All courses fee need to be paid at least 48hrs prior to the first lesson.
For courses booked in advance, the remaining 50% of the fee has to be paid at least 48hr prior to the first lesson.
For group courses booked in advance the remaining 70% of the fee has to be paid at least 5 working days prior to the first lesson starting.
We do not allow students owing fees to register for their class or access our online courses.
Students unable to pay any balance at registration will be turned away.
2.a Payment Method
Payment of course fees must be received before any enrolment documents are issued.
Payments can only be made in GBP (£) by cash or card at our Reception.
Alternatively you can pay by bank transfer or credit card or using our PayPal and TransferWise details.

Please quote your application reference number (i.e. AXD56655) in the reference section. We do not make any charges for payments. We are not responsible for any bank service fees. Always quote the application reference number on bank transfers.
2.b Variation to fees
We usually set, and hold, our fees for a calendar year. Fee are chargeable based on the fee for the course published in the brochure for the year in which you choose to study. Please note that if you extend or renew your course, additional weeks will be chargeable at the fee applicable on the date you extend your booking.
2.c Special offers
Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively to existing bookings and only one discount can be applied to a booking.
All our courses require a deposit at the time of booking. Deposits are non-refundable. Deposits for individual students are 50% of the total course fee. Deposits for group bookings are 30% of the total course fee. Subject to a small leeway, to allow for funds to be transferred, until the deposit is paid, the ‘booking’, remains a quotation or an allocation, and the place(s) are not confirmed; they may be sold to another person.
2.e Other Charges
The tuition fees include the whole course of your choice and we do not charge a registration fee or a renewal fee for existing students. No extensions to courses are possible by additional fee payments and any extensions will be treated as a new course booking.
Tuition fees do not cover the following:
- Callan Method books
- Studying materials
- Travel Costs
- Social activities costs (unless advertised as free).
Other charges include:
Reference Letter will be charged £15 per letter and need to be requested with a 48hrs notice.
Attendance Letter will be charged £10 and need to be requested with a 24hrs notice.
Certificate of Completion will be charged £20 and need to be request with a 24hrs notice.
The above prices refer to letters and certificates collected at School. For delivery fees, please contact our reception that will inform you about delivery fees based on the delivery method and geographical area of destination.
We offer one free trial lesson before enrolling, to make sure you feel comfortable with the Callan Method and to complete the level evaluation. This class is not binding and will not be counted in the subsequent amount of days you will pay for.
4.Level test, classes and attendance
All new students and those returning after a period of absence longer than 3 months, are required to take a level test which is not binding. The student is personally responsible for his/her own attendance. The School will not extend courses or provide extra lessons. For planned absences please refer to point 7. Students are encouraged to arrive for their lessons on time. Late arrival in the classroom is disruptive to the entire class. Students who are more than 30 minutes late may not be permitted to enter the classroom, they may be asked to wait in the reception for their next lesson or a break. No refunds or credit will be given in such cases. The School reserves the right to alter, cancel, combine classes or merge small classes when necessary and to change teacher/class allocation when appropriate. Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd will always do its best to provide the students with an alternative class suitable for their needs. If a class is cancelled under School’s responsibility, a refund will be issued to cover the remaining lessons unless for reasons stated in point 5. and 6.
The School has the right to move a student who does not meet the class level, following suggestions from the teachers. Should the student not agree with the change, they have the right to continue the course in their class until the end date of their course. Students may change their classes, but this is subject to availability.
Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any course without notice or refund in case of unacceptable behaviour. This includes, but it is not limited to, discrimination based on racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, political opinions and physical or mental health. Instances of violence, harassment or verbal abuse towards fellow students or members of staff at Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd. may lead to the immediate expulsion of the student without notice or refund.
Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd reserves the right to suspend its activity without notice or refund in case of a Force Majeure Event.
This includes any event beyond Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd reasonable control, which by its nature could not have been foreseen, or, if it could have been foreseen, was unavoidable, including strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes, failure of energy sources or transport network, acts of God, war, terrorism, riot, civil commotion, interference by civil or military authorities, national or International calamity, armed conflict, malicious damage, breakdown of plant or machinery, nuclear, chemical or biological contamination, sonic boom, explosions, collapse of building structures, fires, floods, storms, earthquakes, epidemics or similar events, natural disasters or extreme adverse weather conditions.
Students are expected to attend lessons regularly and on time. Providing at least 24hours notice is given, students attending courses of 4 weeks or more may take a break of a minimum of 5 consecutive days without losing their course fee for the period that they are absent. Students forfeit course fees if they are late, absent, or leave before the course ends. the School cannot guarantee that returning students will be placed in the same classes that they were in prior to their holiday. The holiday allowance for all students is four weeks. Additionally, holidays cannot be taken during exam preparation courses.
8.Students under 18
Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd primarily caters for students over 18 years old and whilst we welcome students who are under 18, it should be understood that we do not provide supervision. For this reason underage students will be accepted to class only if accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also enrolled in their same course and who has given written consent. The Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd social programme is not designed for students under 18. Some social activities may be suitable for students under 18 but only if accompanied by parents/guardians.
Tuition fees are non-refundable unless a class is permanently closed by Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd.
Any alterations requested by the student will be free of charge but always subject to availability.
If the fees have been paid with a discount due to a special promotion running in the School and the student subsequently request a refund, the refund will be calculated using the discounted fees. Students will not receive a refund if they simply change their mind or if a student has given false or misleading information.
All refunds will be made via the original method of payment and can take up to 14 working days from receipt of the documentation. Any bank charges incurred for a refund are paid by the student. We do not refund or exchange books unless they are faulty.
If a student is dismissed for unacceptable behaviour, no refund will be given. Fees will only be refunded to the payer.
10.a Right to Cancellation
Because we understand that plans change and that you may need to cancel or postpone your study, we have generous cancellation arrangements for most of our courses. The information below relates to tuition fees and excludes the deposit which is always non-refundable:
- Up until six weeks before the start of the course – full refund
- Between five weeks and two weeks – 50% tuition refund
- Between two weeks and the day before your course starts – 30% refund
- After course has commenced– no refund
If at any time during the course, a student feels the need to complain, they can speak to a member of staff in the reception, send an email to our address info@yesSchool.co.uk. The School welcomes constructive comments, all complaints are taken extremely seriously and dealt with in a discreet manner. Complaint and feedbacks can be sent in the students’ first language.
12.British immigration regulations
If the student is a non-EU applicant, they may require a student visa. It is your responsibility to obtain this visa and we are not responsible if a student obtains the wrong visa. For advice on visa regulations, please visit the following website: gov.uk/browse/visasimmigration/student-visas. Alternatively, you can contact the British Embassy in your country.
Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd., its employees and representatives accept no liability for personal injury and/or loss of or damage to personal property whilst on the School’s premises, whether by fire, burglary, theft, evacuation or otherwise. This condition also applies to public and private places when students are attending social events. The School is not responsible for the safe keeping or delivery of any fax, post or parcel sent to the students at the School’s address. The School takes no responsibility for any item, such as suitcases and other luggage left in the reception for safekeeping.
Students will be held responsible for any intentional damage caused to the School Property.
14.Disclaimer: Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd. makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all printed and promotional material, and all information is correct at the time of printing. The School reserves the right to change information at any time and will endeavour to give sufficient notice of such changes. Our promotional and marketing material is meant for illustration purposes only and does not constitute any contractual agreement between the School and any other person.
Lastly, in all cases the decision of the Director of Y.E.S. Your English School Ltd. will be final and binding.
